Last new moon I had observed in my 18" Rose 8. After some amount of study and waiting for it I had the very strong feeling that more than one stellar point was seen in this galaxy. In Alvin's PDF Rose Catalog set of great charts he has a large DSS and with this and other DSS images I have found I am just not seeing this second stellar point that I describe and verify several times on my vocal notes. They were very close and only from time to time so there is some chance it was brief poor seeing but at the time of this observation the overall seeing was very good.
I ask if anybody had looked at this at TSP perhaps and what they had as notes on the Ugc7064 member or in other earlier observations.
Has anybody seen a report of a SN in that galaxy? I'm not quite sure where supernova's are reported and I bet somebody on this list knows such a place.
Maybe Jimi can take a peek?
