M83 through the 48 inch is nearly beyond description - I could look at it for hours and drawing it would be a huge challenge. Hopefully I can get a good look at it later this month with my 28 inch. And Steve is right, I have an article about M5's two bright Cepheid's in the June issue.

Although I've previously replied directly to Steve about his excellent M83 article I want to do so here too - I'll have definitely have it with me at the scope the next time I'm able to observe M83!

I used Steve's article at the eyepiece in Australia and saw M 83 in a whole new light :)
