Has anyone observed Sh 2-175 in Cassiopeia in recent history? A gentleman wrote to me saying that although this was visible to him in the past, he can no longer spot it in small or large scopes, at low or high magnifications, with or without filters. I see no likelihood that this nebula is variable.
