ABELL 33; Planetary Nebula; Hydra; Magnitude: 13.4; Size: 4.5'
Abell 33 was visible to me with my 24" Starmaster tracking Dob only with the aid of OIII and UHC filters, not seen with direct vision. This was in NELM 6.3 skies. Visible to me was a large gray round disk with a soft edge all around and with a unevenly illuminated interior. A few field stars lie on top of the disk. The view was with a 21mm Ethos yielding 123X and 48 arc-min fov.
