Hi all,
a few days ago I could make my first light with my 24"-Dobson. I have been working about a half year to get rid of the astigmatism due to lateral storage. Today I'd like to present the first sketch I made: It's Messier 27. In my opinion, the ability of new telescope can be only considered by observing objects which are well known from smaller apertures. So much about talking, here's the sketch:

Messier 27, 24"-Dobson, magnification: 120x, [OIII]-filter, NELM about 6.0 mag.
870

greetings

Hi Hajü,
thank you! I've observed with an [OIII]-filter, the stars were taken without filter. I think, globulars are much harder to draw :o
