I am curious if any of our members has succeeded in getting an eyeball on the new supernova in M-74 yet. I was going to try for it last Wednesday, but, alas, the sky started getting "muddy" at around 1:30am, and this object is not well situated for observing from my location until about 2:00am. I'm anxious to read any observation reports on this new SN!

Thanks for the heads up. I'm on a visual observing trip Monday and Tuesday night so will have this on the list for sure. Thanks.

How about the beautiful supernova SN2013DY in NGC 7250 in Lacerta? Don't let the "obscurity" of this galaxy fool you, it is a great target even for small scopes (I observed it with my 6" achro) and well placed from 22.00 until dawn!

Rolandos, thanks very much for the heads up on NGC-7250. I will try to image it as well.

Saw it Monday night.
It seemed bright and obvious.
