I was able to observe Palomar 15 in Ophiuchus successfully last night on June 23 from the Pinnacles National Park - West Entrance parking lot using my 20" f/3.5 Dobsonian. The sky conditions offered better than average transparency and average seeing with Palomar lying on the meridian by midnight. I found that backing off to medium telescope power (255X) was helpful to see the entire hazy area that Pal 15 exhibited against the darker field of view versus using the higher power that I use for many smaller diameter Palomar globular clusters. Palomar 15 is one of the larger Palomar GC's in visual size, being 9.5' in diameter.
