Has anyone here visually observed the lensed quasar HE 0435-1223? Simbad has the actual coordinates at 04-38-14.88 -12-17-14.6 which puts it in Eridanus.
There is a nice photo of the quasar in the May issue of Astronomy.
According to this paper (https://arxiv.org/pdf/astro-ph/0207062.pdf) the components are around 18th magnitude in the r band. A little bit brighter in the i band.
The integrated magnitude is ~17th mag, well within reach of my 25". I'll give it a go when Eridanus comes around.
